This is the complete kit for the 1980-1996 F-100/150 chassis, 4.75" narrow crossmember kit. It's made for your choice of the Crown Vic factory style struts, coilovers or airbags. It also uses Crown Vic control arms, spindles and brakes. It also uses our CPO upper and lower control arms in stock length or 1" shorter versions.

Includes:

MAIN CROSSMEMBER SECTION #600-01.
This is the same center section used in our other narrow crossmember kits. It's based on the design of the Crown Vic aluminum crossmember from 2003-2011 Crown Vics. It's 4.75" narrower than the stock Crown Vic crossmember. It accepts factory Crown Vic upper and lower control arms, struts, spindles and brakes. It will also accept CPO tube control arms in stock length or 1" shorter versions. The motor mount stands on this crossmember are the same width and height as the 2003-2011 Crown Vic. So any aftermarket mounts that fit the factory Crown Vic will fit this crossmember. We recommend Outcast Autoworks for those. The others out there don't compare. They also have threaded inserts so you only need to bolt them down to the stands. Simple and easy.

UPPER CONTROL ARM MOUNTS #610-S (factory struts) or #610-C (coilovers) or #610-B (airbags)
The upper control arm mount is specific to the type of spring/shock you plan to use. You can add that info when ordering or if you haven't decided yet just wait until you do decide.  **** Pics are of the original style and the new style looks different. Updated pics soon ****

REAR ARM MOUNT #620-80-96 (for 80-96 F100/150) These are the mounts from the frame down to the rear bushing mount on the factory Crown Vic lower control arms or the rear bushing on the CPO tube arms. **** Pics are of the original style and the new style looks different. Updated pics soon ****

FRAME BOXES #630-80-96. These are the boxes that bolt to the frame where the original engine crossmember was. The main crossmember section bolts to these boxes. **** Pics are of the original style and the new style looks different. Updated pics soon ****

What else you will need:

1996 Lincoln Mark 8 steering rack. 1996 Ford Thunderbird has the same rack. This rack is 4.75" narrower than the Crown Vic rack and is needed for correct steering. The Crown Vic outer tie rods fit this rack as they share the same M14 x 1.5 threads. There will be two M14 x 1.5 jam nuts in the box with the crossmember main section as well as two rack washers 1.75" od x .635" id x .188" thick stainless, two 5/8-11 x 3.5" bolts and two 5/8-11 flange locknuts. The rack can be bought in new or rebuilt at any local auto parts store or Rockauto. The part numbers are:
1010115, 22215 and may have other part numbers at your local parts store.

**** You will need to cut 1.375" off both ends of the rack and 1" off the Crown Vic outer tie rod ends. ****
**** If you also go with 1" shorter control arms you will need to cut 2.375" off the rack and 1" off the Crown Vic outer tie rod ends.

Steering U joints. Depending on what steering column you have you will need at least one steering U joint. They need to be 3/4" x 36 spline to 3/4" DD. The 3/4" x 36 spline is the same as the factory F-100 steering column. So if you have the factory column you would need two of those. They are available from Speedway, Jegs, Summit and even Amazon.

Steering slip joint. You need a short section of 3/4" DD slip joint to go between the U joints. You may also need a 3/4" steering Heim joint and mount.

Power steering fittings. Two fittings 5/8" and 9/16" to 6an can be found on Amazon, Speedway, Jegs, Summit etc.

I have some basic videos of the prototyping of this crossmember on Youtube. I will post a link here soon --------->
