This is the center section of our narrower crossmember. It fits the 65-79 F-100 chassis. This crossmember is 4.75" narrower than the stock 03-11 Crown Vic crossmember. It fits factory Crown Vic control arms or aftermarket Crown Vic control arms made for the 03-11 Crown Vic. This is part #500 and parts in the 500 series fit it.
This crossmember has holes that are the same as the 65-79 chassis so no welding is needed. This crossmember is 100% bolt on into existing holes. There are two holes that need to be drilled in the frame for the upper arm mount but that mount also uses these 6 holes so the holes are in the mount and no measuring is needed. Just drill thru the ope holes in the upper mount.
This crossmember is made with a center section of 4"x 2" rectangle tube with a .188" wall. The ends are capped. The riser plates that go from the 4x2 are .250" thick HR P&O plate and tabbed to go into the upper flangle plates exactly where they fit. The upper flange plates are also .250" thick HR P&O plate. The filler plates are all .188" thick. The motor mounts are in the same location as a factory Crown Vic aluminum crossmember so any mounts made for the Crown Vic will fit this crossmember. You may need to trim the edge of the left side mount to clear the steering.
** The motor mounts also have threaded bungs inside for 1/2-13 threads so you don't have to fish nuts thru from the bottom. **
** We recommend using Outcast autoworks motor mounts for Crown Vic. They are of exceptional quality and American made. Don't settle for Chinese knock offs. **
The pieces are all mounted in a jig and tig welded for a clean look and install.

2 - 5/8-11 × 5.5" or 6" bolts 2 - 5/8-11 x 3.5" bolts 4 - 5/8" locknuts
You will need a power steering rack made for a 1996 Lincoln Mark 8 - O'reilly part number #101-0115 or find it on Rockauto under several different brands.
